Teen Titans Interview

We recently caught up with those fiesty Teen Titans, the first act to ever perform at the FCA's when they opened the awards in July.

So in July you opened the Fan Choice Awards how did that feel?

Joey:
That was amazing!
Martina: It was the first time for us to open an awards show with a performance and so we were excited like never before.

Den: Yeah, imagine if something would have gone wrong because of us! We were already dead by now!
Laurence: I remember I was trembling when I got on the stage, but the crowd cheering made us give an amazing performance.


Unfortunately last time you didnt win awards but this year you are shortlisted for 3 (best group, album and video) what do you think of your chances?

Laurence: It's fantastic to know that we managed to get some nominations - it means a lot for us. We don't think we could win though, all the other acts nominated with us are amazing.


All 3 boys and both girls are shortlisted for Sexiest male/ female is there any rivalry in the group when it comes to battling it out for this award?

Joey: Yeah, yeah! I'm the hottest Titan and I'd get very angry if these other two would win! [Laughs]... No, I'm kidding, there shouldn't be any!
Den: Yeah, there isn't any rivarly actually! We always support each other and if any of us would win, the others in the band would be just really happy about it. We're all friends!
Martina: Exactly. I'd be just happy if it was Tanya to win. I love her much more than any award, she's my sister!
Tanya: Yeah, there is never gonna be any rivarly.


Who's your pick for awards?

Laurence: That would be an hard choice. Everyone deserves to win the awards they're nominated for.
Den: Yeah, there's a very hard competition in every category!


Whats your plans for 2012?

Martina: Touring and recording our next album are surely on top of the list. We also have a few other things planned, but they'll be announced with the time.
Joey: One of the other things is our first movie that we're gonna shoot sometime in the next year and it's gonna be just great!
Laurence: We're still not sure about it though as we were first going to shoot a TV series, but it would have taken too time, so we're now heading to the movie idea.


Who are you bringing to the awards?

Joey: We're goin' there together, but we're hoping to bring our partners, a few other friends and some relatives.
Tanya: We like having support and so it's better to bring as many people as we can.

Buzz & Hype Interview

We recently caught up with Buzz & Hype one of our big winners from the 1st FCA's so we thought we'd ask them a few little questions.

So in July FCA fans awarded you with two awards Best Newcomer and Best Single for Buzzin' as we can see from the last 6 months the fans got Best Newcomers right as you've taken over the charts, apart from chart domination what else have you been upto?

Buzz: Well i've been being a general sex God.
Hype: Bret, shut up man. We've been perfecting not only our album, but like everybody elses. You don't find a lot of Pop albums around now that we haven't had a say in. It's crazy how much of an influence on people we seem to have in the 7 months weve been around for.
Buzz: Yeah, back to the more important things - me - i've just been being awesome really.
Hype: *facepalm*

This time you're shortlisted for 3 awards(best group, producer, single) on your own and 2 more as collaborations(rain on my parade, messed up freak) what do you think of your chances of winning this year?

 

Buzz: Well if we dont win at least one award I will actually go into a drunken stupour and possibly kill myself.
Hype: You almost make it sound like you're occasionally sober
Buzz: I'm sober now aren't i? *hides can of strongbow*
Hype: oh dear... Well that is 5 nominations, we can win a maximum of 4, i'm thinking that we will be involved in the Best Collaboration, and definitely Best Producer. We just own that.
Buzz: Word.
Who's your pick for awards?

Hype: I can see Aaron Marks picking up a couple. He is amazing.

Whats your plans for 2012?

Hype: Release the album, tour, do something else, tour.
Buzz: AND GET WASTED!!
Hype: You do that regularly anyway...

Who are you bringing to the awards?

Hype: Nobody... I will be picking up tonight though so it doesn't matter...
Buzz: Dude, all you're gonna pick up is an award!
Hype: I hate you.

We recently caught up with Dominic Brown the winner of Sexiest Male at July's FCA Awards to ask a few quick questions



In July you was crowned Sexiest Male by the Fans at the awards how did that feel?

Dominic: Da whole thing was mad crazy. I neva expected not to get it tho lol. Nah but for real tho, I'm honored n thank u to the fans for crowning me.

Your also shortlisted for the same award this year, do you think you will win it again?

Dominic: Hell yea I think I will. If i didn't tho then its all good. I don't need an award to tell me I'm sexy. I already kno dat.


Plus your shortlisted for 2 other awards Best Male and Best Single how do you fancy your chances?

Dominic: Rite now I'm happy dat I got more nominations dis year then last year. So to be nominated in those categories makes me proud. I feel like I stepped my game up since the last awards. Lot of tough competition in dis category so my chances iz feelin slim lol. If I win den cool, if I don't then it won't botha me.

Last year you performed with Aubrey but you've been pretty quiet since where you been hiding?

Dominic: Haha Damn iz dat wat ppl really think? I don't feel like I've been quiet at all cuz I mostly been releasing singles and being on tour with Tisha Jackson.


Who's your pick for awards?

Dominic: Ah man u puttin me on da spot. I guess I would like to see Hannah Beth take home sumthin. She's been on her grind dis year n she deserves it. I would like to see Lily take home sumthin too. I'm not sayin I listen to her music all da time but homegurl does make u think wit her words. She's everything an artist should be u feel me? Oh yea and all da other sexy ladies need to take home an award too lol.


Whats your plans for 2012?

Dominic: I'll be gettin it in wit my sophomore album. Gonna expand my music and collab wit some new artists. Got some otha surprises but I can't reveal just yet. So be on the lookout. Also now dat I'm back on da market, I'll be lookin for my next girl to call mine. So ladies if u down, come holla at ya boy lol.


Who are you bringing to the awards?

Dominic: Sad to say dat I won't be comin out to da awards cuz I'm currently on tour wit Tisha Jackson. If I was comin tho then I would most likely ask my homegirl Brooke Summers to be my date dat night.

The 2nd Fans Choice Awards is creeping ever closer. With new awards and new voting stages its going to be bigger and better then ever before.

Hosts Zara Sinclair & Damon Holmes are returning to present and with more awards than last time that means even more performers have been booked!!

Welcome to the official Fans Choice Awards site. This is the only place where you will see the history of the awards, previous winners and performers and news on the latest awards ceremony including dates, times and performers.

The Fans Choice Awards started in 2011 with the first successful show held on July 17th 2011 at The Royal Albert Hall. Hosted by Zara Sinclair and Damon Holmes the awards were hailed a success and are now going to be held every 6months in celebration of all things musical.

The first show had just 10 awards to be won but now boasts 15 awards with the organisers looking to add even more by the time the third show happens next June.
